At this point, it’s a pretty safe bet that most industry conferences slated for 2021 will be virtual events. Still, we applaud those optimistic event planners out there scheduling in-person conferences for later in the year. It remains to be seen if their optimism will pay off, but - whether you attend digitally or in-person - there are numerous financial services and fintech conferences on the docket worthy of your participation in the coming months.
We’ve compiled the following list to help you plan accordingly.

Future Digital Finance
Dates: February 25-26
Format: Virtual
We realize this one is right around the corner, but - even with short notice - it’s worth considering.

Designed to inspire and bring banking teams together, the conference will allow groups of employees to collaborate while learning more about community banking gamechangers, the frontier of new tech and other timely topics.

Fintech Talents North America
Date: March 24, 2021
Format: Virtual
The premier fintech event for credit unions, community banks as well as tier-one FIs from across North America, Fintech Talents North America looks as though it will not disappoint this year thanks to thought-provoking panels including The Future of Work: Are We Headed Back To The Office? and Credit Unions and Fintechs: How To Create A More Perfect Union. The virtual event also includes a solid lineup of keynote speakers plus hands-on workshops such as Building An API Strategy.

FinTech World Forum 2021
Date: March 25-26, 2021
Format: Virtual
Another premium virtual event, this year’s FinTech World Forum features keynotes and panels from 25 high-profile speakers. Topics of note include Exploring The Impact Of Blockchain On Payments & Lending, How To Select The Proper Digital Transformation Platform, Transformation of International Payments and The Future Of Global Fintech Post COVID-19, to name just a few.

MONEYLIVE Summit
Dates: Streaming 2 episodes per week throughout March and April, 2021
Format: Virtual
For 2021, the MoneyLIVE Summit will be digital and offer its content into a TV-like experience, complete with “episodes” focused on innovations in the banking and payments ecosystem in the form of live-streamed sessions featuring more than 75 international speakers. MoneyLIVE Connect will provide access to podcasts, reports and videos throughout the spring.

Finovate Spring
Date: May 10-13, 2021
Format: Virtual
Boasting more than 75 top-tier speakers and hundreds of meetings, this is one of the industry’s biggest virtual events. Combining interactive roundtables, one-on-one meetings, keynotes and panels, this digital conference provides a sneak peek into an array of innovations poised to reshape the financial services industry. The agenda also includes more than 30 product demonstrations, with a handpicked selection of promising new fintech innovations taking center stage, courtesy of both seed-stage startups to established industry leaders.

NAPCP Commercial Card and Payment Conference
Dates: May 10-21, 2021
Format: Virtual
This year the NAPCP will allow attendees two weeks to browse its exhibit hall at their own pace as well as to listen to every on-demand session, meet every speaker and attend live events. This event should be of interest to those working in commercial card and payments. There will be discussions around trends and innovation, interactive Q&A discussions with speakers and educational sessions and product demos.

Middle Market Summit
Dates: All sessions on demand through December, 2021
Format: Virtual
A combination of live and pre-recorded sessions, this virtual event will offer 1:1 meetings as well as networking opps for professionals in the commercial cards, treasury transactions services and B2B payments spaces. As the name implies, sessions will be focused on the middle market and overcoming hurdles brought on by the pandemic, as well as defining how the industry can collaborate in defining the new B2B payments flow as well as growth opportunities within B2B payments.

Mobile Payments Conference (MPC)
Dates: August, 2021
Format: Virtual
MPC is where the mobile payments industry decision-makers meet to discuss strategies, new technologies, sales opportunities and all aspects of the rapidly-evolving world of digital payments. This year’s agenda offers attendees a variety of sessions designed to help them navigate this ever-changing landscape.

Smarter Faster Payments Conference
Dates: August 9-12, 2021 (San Francisco, CA) and August 23-26, 2021 (Remote Connect)
Format: In-person and virtual event
This annual conference combines payments education, a dynamic exhibit hall and numerous networking opportunities making it one of the biggest industry events of the year. The conference’s exhibit hall will showcase a variety of new solutions and services along with discussions around how they can help meet your business needs. The Remote Connect event promises to bring together more than 100 interactive sessions for those unable to travel.

ABA Bank Marketing Conference

Dates: September 26-28, 2021
Format: In person at JW Marriott Austin in Austin, TX
With more than 40 sessions on expert guidance, banker-to-banker networking with industry experts and high-level thinking, this might be an ideal conference for anyone working on the marketing side of the financial services industry. In addition to networking with other bank marketing professionals, attendees can also earn up to 12 CFMP credits.
CPI Global Summit
Dates: October, 2021 (date is TBA)
Format: Virtual
In the wake of COVID-19, this summit will address how the industry will define the new B2B payments flow for treasury and transaction services and commercial cards. Combining pre-recorded and interactive sessions with 1:1 video meetings, highlights of the conference will include the corporate perspective during COVID-19, T&E recovery, AP and AR automation and the drive to digital transformation, and a fintech showcase, amongst many other sessions and more than five hours of valuable networking.
